Things to Do

Blue Hole snorkeling

The Blue Hole, located in the center of Lighthouse Reef Atoll is a 1000 foot circular coral reef that drops over 400 feet into an incredible cavern. It is filled with stalactites and awe-inspiring natural formations. An abundance of marine life such as queen angel, grouper, triggerfish and spotted moray can be seen at the top of the wall. Half Moon Caye and the Aquarium/Eagle Ray are teaming with marine life and numerous varieties of colorful corals like sponges, fans, and gorgonians. You will also enjoy a leisurely picnic on the palm fringed beach of Half Moon Caye followed by a visit to the Boobie Bird Sanctuary.

Cave tubing and Belize Zoo

Your adventure begins with an hour boat ride to Belize City as you head for the wildlife habitat known as The Belize Zoo. The zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country’s indigenous species and is now home to an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles, and birds. A visit to the zoo gives you the opportunity to see Belize’s amazing wildlife in one location. The adventure continues with a scenic drive up the Western Highway to the Cayo (pronounced Ky-o) District. After lunch make your way along the winding waterway of the Caves Branch River as you tube through the ancient caves once inhabited by the Maya.

Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley Snorkeling

Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley is approximately 4 miles south of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. It is praised for its abundant sea life, and its beautiful coral formation, and therefore, its great snorkeling. Hol Chan means ‘Little Channel’ in Mayan and is a natural break on the barrier reef where ocean depth ranges from 5-30 feet. Here you will enjoy seeing marine life and huge coral garden, among which are flourishing stag horn corals and sea fans. Shark Ray Alley is a shallow water snorkel where you will enjoy swimming with harmless nurse sharks and southern stingrays.

Lamanai Ruins Jungle River Adventure

After a 15-minute flight or an hour boat ride to Belize City, you will take a 1-hour drive up the Northern Highway, to Tower Hill where you will board a riverboat and head up the New River. While traversing the many little creeks and lagoons, you are likely to encounter hawks, kites, and falcons. You may also see dainty Jacanas lightly walking on the lily pads while the crocodiles bask in the morning sunlight. At the entrance to the New River Lagoon, the ruins of Lamanai (Maya for “Submerged Crocodile”) rise into view. While touring this site, huge masks depicting dead rulers and gods seem to materialize out of the rainforest amid the chatter of birdlife and the haunting call of the Howler Monkeys.

Scuba Diving

Enjoy an up-close and personal experience with some of the sea’s most fascinating creatures. Gain an appreciation of not only the beauty but also the fragile nature of the undersea world, and what you must do to protect it. During these diving experiences, divers will explore some of the most pristine reef systems that the Caribbean offers.Single tank dives or multiple dives are available. For the more adventurous diver, night dives can also be arranged.

Zipline and Waterfall Adventure

Take a flight down the coast to Dangriga in Southern Belize where you will be able to soar above the Mayflower Bocawina National Forest on a 12 platform zip line. It has the longest, fastest and tallest runs in Belize, and allows an up close view of the pristine rainforest. After a quick lunch at Mama Noots Restaurant (on-site), take a short jungle hike to cool off at Bocawina Falls. Swim in its refreshing pools or rappel down its face for an even more unbelievable experience. For adrenaline-junkies, an optional upgrade of rappelling down Antelope Falls is available on arrival at the tour site. The zip line is the only one currently certified in Belize by the ACCT, and experienced guides will ensure a great experience for every age and skill level.
