CUISINE

Inspired by local and world cuisine; Koralia offers innovative dishes that make use of the extensive assortment of local seafood as well as exotic, organic fruits & vegetables, many of which come from our own organic gardens. Playa Koralia does not serve pork or red meats, but does offer exceptional menus for vegetarians.

ARCHITECTURE

Nestled among protective palms, the dominant architectural element is nature herself. Playa Koralia blends magically with its environs. The softly curved walls rise up and slip back into the landscape, harmonizing with the natural forms and encouraging exploration of the impressive surroundings. From the traditional woven palms that create the roofs, to the local woods in combination with antiques that have been crafted into place, river stones, caña and bamboo, Playa Koralia is infused with Nature. Particular attention has been given to the interior design, including the murals and the mosaics that decorate each individual habitation individually. The result is a masterful combination of traditional rustic elements, open space and whimsical artwork.

Things to Do

Hiking to Waterfall

Join our guide for an easy hike through pristine tropical forest ending up at an amazing waterfall where you can frolic and swim in crystal clear waters.

Pozos Sagrados

This is a unique excursion, where you will hike through private indigenous territory (not open to regular tours) on a trail interspersed with crystal-clear ponds and lovely waterfalls. Bathe in the healing waters in the company of colorful fish. The reserve is not open to the public and photographing the locals is not permitted.

River tubing

Join the adventure of floating down river ending at the traditional coastal village of Palomino. The river runs between an indigenous preserve and a bird sanctuary, allowing you tons of chances to spot tropical birds and howler monkeys up on the trees.

Tayrona National Park

Declared as one of Colombia’s most picturesque and popular national parks, Tayrona demands attention with its diverse wildlife and spectacular scenery. Hike through the expansive park with your guide, admiring the pristine forest and looking for monkeys and tropical birds.
