Overview - In stark contrast to the faux-Swiss original buildings of Bariloche, this well-designed hotel combines its concrete with liberal doses of stone and wood, adding plenty of glass to take advantage of the lake and mountain vistas. Contemporary furniture in the lounge is softened by a fireplace and wood beams overhead, while restaurant diners get cozy on sofas and cubical armchairs, looking out to the lake beyond. One floor down, a semi-circular heated swimming pool mimics the lines of the building, with a swim-through partition between indoor and outdoor sections. Accommodations are contemporary but take cues from the forested local region. Wood and leather furniture exhibits simple geometric lines and beds are topped with off-white spreads and accent pillows. Satellite TVs are mounted on wall shelves and well-chosen art is encased in glass boxes.
