Overview - Chaa Creek Cottages, the first jungle lodge in Belize, opened its doors in 1981 as a small guest cottage in a little farm. Over the next two decades the retreat has grown into a private 365-acre nature reserve set along the banks of the Macal River in the foothills of the Maya Mountains. The jungle lodge encompasses 23 comfortable palm-thatched cottage rooms including two suites, two Tree Top Jacuzzi suites and a villa, all nestled along the riverside in a setting of unmatched beauty and tranquility. The restaurant features a unique experience in delectable 'Jungle Cuisine' in a romantic al fresco environment where guests can enjoy the sounds of birds quarrelling in the surrounding trees in the daytime, and listen to the symphony of night sounds while dining under candlelight. The Chaa Creek spa, set above the Macal River, offers a tranquil and extraordinary sensory experience that promotes harmony between inner and outer self.
